James Hickey

James has a rich history in music as a performer, music director, and a teacher. At Berklee College of Music, he excelled in music theory, made arrangement for stage band and big bands, and was accomplished in charting for all idioms. He has performed with numerous bands including: The Topix, Jampact, The News Boys, Liquid Jam, Funaddicts, Felix, Terrible Beauty, etc. James was the band leader for Louie Fontaine & the Rockets, performing up and down the west coast, Canada, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Tahoe. He is fluent in Jazz, Rock, Funk, Soul, and all Standards.
