Nancy Broman
Nancy graduated from Western Washington University majoring in music- with a minor in elementary education. Having lived in the Northwest most of her life, her career in music started with teaching in a local school district, adding private piano lessons to her schedule along the way. Having taught piano and voice to children and adults of all ages for 30 years, Nancy easily communicates with students and parents and enjoys seeing her students develop a love of music. She has been teaching here in Issaquah the past 9 years.
Performing regularly in a choral and hand bell group, while playing keyboard with her church band on Sunday mornings keeps her involved in the music scene. She enjoys contemporary Christian music, jazz and pop music, Broadway music and classical music of the old masters. She also takes suggestions for music that the student wishes to learn. Using Alfred, Bastien, John Thompson and Adventures in Music are some of the publishers she uses with her students.
