Anthony Channita

My name is Anthony Channita. I grew up in North Bend, WA. I have been playing music ever since I joined band back in 5th grade. I started off as a percussionist and will continue to learn more as I take the next step in my life now that I am a college graduate (Go Cougs!).
I started teaching drums in 2018 while I was living in Pullman, WA. Over the course of my musical career, I’ve had the opportunity to play many different styles of drumming that range from Blues Rock to Avant-Garde Free Jazz.
While in Pullman, I was on-call for whenever someone needed a drummer for a gig or a recording session. I have experience recording with Big Bands, Small Ensembles, and Jazz Combos. I played with an Afro-Cuban Jazz Fusion group named “Jazz Wires” and had the chance to record 4 albums with them. This group really captured my growth as a musician in college. I look forward to sharing everything I’ve learned to my future students!
