Roger Rogers

Roger RogersRoger began playing in bands when he was a teen growing up in southern California. He relocated to Seattle in 1979 and has been actively playing music since. His first band in Seattle was the Kinetics which were signed to Etiquette records (along with the Sonics and Wailers). The sax player is the famous Denny Goodhue who is now teaching at Cornish College of the Arts, the drummer went on to play for Paul Rodgers from Bad Company, and the keyboard player is the house piano player at the El gaucho in Seattle. Roger's band toured for ten years making making multiple TV appearances.

Roger's current band, the Roger Rogers Band, is a blues/roots band with a rotating cast of some of the best blues players in the Pacific Northwest. Roger has also played with the Little Bill Blues Band, Lonnie Williams, and was the host of the blues jam at the famous Larry's Blues Cafe for 7 years.

Roger enjoys collaborating with students to help them find their creativity and become confident musicians. He has taught hundreds of students and finds great enjoyment in watching students overcome stage fright, sing to an audience, and learn to play their favorite tune. Roger provides a non-judgmental learning environment while assisting his students to extend themselves beyond their current comfort level.
