Frank Vitolo

Frank ViltoloFrank Vitolo was born and raised here in the Pacific Northwest. A graduate of Western Washington University’s Music program under the direction of Mike Allen and Miles Black, both international touring artists from BC. His sound and style has been compared to music titans like Joshua Redman, Kenny Garrett, John Coltrane, and Sonny Rollins. The jazz vocabulary is apparent in every moment of his playing with fluidity and unapologetically.

Frank has been living in Seattle for 3 years as a full time private lesson instructor and performer. He teaches all over Seattle and at Moore Brothers Music, including a private Jazz coach for the Washington Middle School. His success as an Instructor comes from his diverse ability to teach multiple instruments including: saxophones (alto/tenor/bari), clarinet, flute, and piano. Though Frank performs mostly under jazz and modern genres, he is assertive about teaching all genres of music and catering to the students’ taste/style. His teaching philosophy can be summed up in saying, his goal is not to just to teach music, but to present them the tools on how to teach yourself.

Frank is currently associated with a multiple projects in Seattle including; Bad News Botanists, Scarlet Parke, Marina Christopher, Jazz Night School Big Band, La Fonda, Home Sweet Home, High Cloud Cover, and many more.
